Tomorrow! Coffee with GPP Candidates
If you would like to learn more about Aimee Fluitt and Vikas Relan, candidates for Grosse Pointe Park City Council, please join them tomorrow morning, October 5, at 10:00a.m., 1419 Lakepointe St, Grosse Pointe Park, 48230. This will be an opportunity to ask questions and to tell them about the issues you would like to see addressed in this campaign.
Use the Power of Your Vote
Please use the power of your vote to elect council members who will work to create a more just, equitable and welcoming GP.
If you are willing to knock on a few doors this year for Park Council Candidates Aimee Fluitt and Vikas Relan, you can let them know at the Coffee gathering or through their facebook pages. Contact Farms Candidate Neil Sroka and Woods Candidate Kenn Gafa through their facebook pages to volunteer for their campaigns. This is a great way to support these candidates and get involved in local elections.

The League of Women Voters of Grosse Pointe is sponsoring a series of Candidate Forums giving you an opportunity to become better acquainted with all of the candidates and issues so you can be a better informed voter. The remaining candidate forums for City Council races are:
October 8: Grosse Pointe Park
October 15: Grosse Pointe Farms
October 17: Grosse Pointe Woods
October 22: City of Grosse Pointe which will also host the Mayoral Candidates.

New Rights for Michigan Voters
You can register to vote through Election Day, November 5.
Through October 21 - Register at: any Secretary of State branch office, your city or county clerks office, a designated state agency, or by mail.
October 22 through November 4 - Register in person with your city clerk.
November 5 (Election Day) - Register and Vote: in person with your city clerk, not at a precinct.

Progressive Womens Caucus
Representative Tanisha Yancey is hosting a Town Hall "Celebrating 100 Years of Making our Voices Heard," the Progressive Womens Caucus Listening Tour. Join the PWC to discuss the most important issues facing Michigan women today on Wednesday, October 9 at 6:00pm at the Mary Ellen Stempfel University Center, Wayne County Community College District, 19305 Vernier Rd, Harper Woods, 48225.
